Our Staff
Amy Ayotte Orthodontic Hygienist
After graduating from Durham College in 2006 with an honours in Dental Hygiene Amy worked at a practice in Toronto for a year before eventually returning to her hometown of Peterborough and finding her home with us at Chemong Family Dental. Amy has worked with Dr. Alex since the beginning and has helped shape who Chemong Family Dental is today. It is only fitting that she continue to grow and become part of the Everes Dentistry team. She is constantly looking for new ways in which to further her education – whether it is with practical application or in a course. Over the past 6 years Amy has obtained her education in Orthodontics through hands on treatment and technical courses. Between her roles as Dental Hygienist, Team Leader, Orthodontic Hygienist, and Mom, she manages to stay connected with the ever-changing world of dental knowledge.
Hawley Tuckett Clinical Manager/ Head Dental Assistant
Hawley has been part of the Chemong Family Dental team for 5 years now and enjoys working with all our patients. One of the things she enjoys most about dentistry is seeing how changing a patient’s smile transforms their whole life! Hawley graduated with honours from Durham College Level 2 RDA program. She has since continued her education through ongoing courses that allows her to both keep her skills up to date while also learning the latest advancements in technology that our office has to offer.
Leigh-Ann McCoy Office Manager/ Treatment Coordinator
Leigh-Ann has worked with Dr. Alex for over 13 years! She started as his Dental Assistant at a practice in Frankfurt, and in 2006 helped open Chemong Family Dental. Together they built Chemong Family Dental from the ground up, starting with absolutely no patients to seeing hundreds of patients a week. With the growth came the demand for an office manager to coordinate patients and treatment, so Leigh-Ann put away her scrubs and took on the new role of office manager and treatment coordinator. She is the heart of our organization – she keeps us motivated and the office running smoothly – without her, we would not be here! Leigh-Ann has gained extensive education through countless courses, hands-on experience, and her CDA from Maxwell College. According to her, the greatest part about getting to work with Dr. Alex is the fact that he is one of only 39 dentists in Canada who are Diplomats of the American Board of Oral Implantology, so when recommending treatment to patients she is able to feel confident that they are getting the absolute best treatment!
Melissa Booth Treatment Coordinator Director
Melissa worked with Dr. Alex and Leigh-Ann over 15 years ago at a practice in Frankfurt…Their friendship goes way back! Over the course of almost 20 years Melissa worked as treatment coordinator and office manager at various dental practices. Eventually her path lead to us in 2019 when she joined our team as director of treatment coordinating. Her drive to nurture authentic relationships with patients while helping them to create their dream smile is what makes her an integral part of the team. Melissa’s favourite part of working with Dr. Alex is his commitment to growth and his unique ability to problem solve and find personalized treatment plans for each individual case. There are no limits to success or obstacles that can’t be overcome, and she loves getting to be part of an organization that is moving the dial in the industry.
